Offense
How often do you get offended at someone in life? How long can you be offended? Did you have such emotions which you carried for years? I guess it’s pretty common, that most people get offended from time to time in life on someone. Sometimes, an offense can be that deep that we can carry it from childhood and it creates a deep and powerful scar or wound.
The consequences of offenses
Having deep offenses, especially from very young ages, on parents, relatives or childhood friends, can lead to very sad consequences. It changes the person, creates insecurities, deep fears, and anxieties. Very often people don’t understand the reason for pain or fears and it’s really hard to determine when you’re already adult. Some things can spoil your life, relationships with other people and make you angry, cold and hate certain things. It not only creates mental disorders but also can affect your health as everything in a person’s body is related.
How do offenses form?
Some offenses come from expectations – we expect some people would act a certain way and when they don’t – we get angry or disappointed. Also, we expect that others, like parents, will be always responsible for our happiness and have to make us happy when we’re kids. when in reality, we need to learn, that expectations always create disappointments. Parents should teach us that happiness is inside us and they should support our happiness but not make it. No one is responsible for that but us. And if someone hurts us deeply, instead of being offended, you can ask the person why he did that. You might not know the real reasons. You’re not the one who should judge the person. Just accept things the way they are and move on. and don’t allow someone’s words to ruin your harmony, life and health.
Learn from each experience
Who has to stay in your life – will stay. Other people come into your life for experience. Don’t be afraid to lose someone. If someone is trying to offend you – just know it could be a lesson for both of you. How other person acts – it’s his karma and everyone will receive the punishment eventually if he did a bad thing. Everyone receives what he emits. But how you answer on offense – is your karma – don’t allow your ego answer with the same cruelty. Be over it.
How to heal deep scars
Not always we’re able to get over some offenses so we forget about it, go apart with those people who offended us thinking that chapter is over. But unfortunately, if you still have this bad deep feeling inside you, it affects your life, relationships with other people and your health. So what you need to do – is first of all – to determine the reason for your inner pain or fear. You need to sincerely forgive that person who offended you time ago. You might not know reasons of why it happened but you’re not the one who has to judge. Be kind and forgive. Maybe this will help that person too to forgive himself. But more importantly, you will heal yourself from this deep wound.
Forgiveness brings peace
Once you really feel you forgave, you will start feeling peace inside your heart. It creates love and compassion. You will start feeling better like you dropped a heavy burden. And your life will start changing. Sometimes random people offend us – so learn from that. Instead of answering with the same anger – smile back. Maybe that person needs more compassion at that moment. He can be lost, unhappy or in pain. And with your kindness and love you might save his life, his soul, give him a chance to heal and restore his faith. If you want to live in a world, full of kindness, love and good people, you want to change the world to be a better place – be that change, you want to see in the world and the world will start changing from you![/nk_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
