Patience as the Key to Your Inner Peace, Happiness and Success

Did you notice how often did you ask someone to be faster, or couldn’t wait to get some results or wait for someone or a certain event? Did it make you feel angry, irritated, upset, disappointed? In other words, patience has been our main and the biggest challenge and lesson. So if you would know, that patience is the key to your inner peace, happiness and success, would you devote more time practicing and learning to be more patient?

Why is it so hard to be patient?

The modern world develops so fast, every day we see new achievements, new discoveries, new improvements. And this pace can make an impression that if we won’t get faster, we will stay behind and won’t achieve anything. We look at others and someone’s success might push us towards learning, making us want to achieve similar success faster. And that is the biggest trick and challenge that we need to learn.

Success is the combination of patience, faith and strong desire to fulfil your purpose

Every goal can be achieved only by proper learning, devoting quality time exploring what you need to achieve your goal. And making small daily steps towards your goal will bring you eventually to your goal. But only if you really feel what is your purpose, really want it, believe in yourself and have faith waiting it to happen. Everything happens at the right time and patience always will be rewarded with the greatest gift.

Impatience as the main reason of failures, accidents and disappointments

Nowadays, there are a lot of accidents that happen in the world. If you think about it for a second, you might notice that most often it happens when people break rules and try to rush, thinking that they can be faster and achieve more. And very often, the opposite happens. Most often accidents are the signs to slow down and pay attention to the world around, to others and to life itself. When we rush, we don’t notice how the world is actually beautiful around us. We don’t think of people around and that we could hurt others accidentally.

And very often, the main reason why people stop dreaming and work for their goals, is when they start something with passion, driving by their inner calling, but don’t achieve the goal, quit. But if they would know that they only needed to wait a few more days, weeks, months etc? And the goal would be achieved, would it make them keep working, believing and being patient? Would they be disappointed knowing that they own impatience was keeping them from their goals?

How to stay patient

This is the most important and often, hard lesson that we face in all the life fields. Even when it seems we learned it, we might notice that in another sphere in life we are still not patient enough. So here I would mention the main and best options that help us to stay patient:

  1. Practicing meditations and feeling yourself in the now – meditations can help you to concentrate on the current moment, removing and letting go past heavy memories and worries about the future. This also can help you to establish inner peace and find joy and happiness within yourself
  2. Practicing gratitude – this divine feeling help you to concentrate on the amazing things and people you have your life. Being grateful for the lessons – good and bad ones, you learn to notice signs from the universe and it helps you to grow. When you’re grateful for what you have, you open the door to receive more things to be grateful for.
  3. Love – practicing to feel love to yourself, people, world, things, you reduce the possibility to be angry, sad, disappointed. You replace negative feelings that could appear in you from not getting what you wanted, by love.
  4. Acceptance and faith – when you accept others and yourself for who they are, you become free from negative emotions and expectations. Practicing to strengthen your faith, you trust the universe and the perfect timing for everything.
  5. No expectations – no disappointments. Always remember this statement that reminds that expectations only bring negativity.
  6. In order to be in time, it needs to slow down. Every time I notice I’m not being patient, I remind it myself and every time it proves, that when I slow down, I’m being more productive, happier and fill my life with joy.
